Mastering Merger & Acquisition Under IFRS 3 & IFRS 10

This course provides comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in mergers and acquisitions aligned with IFRS standards. Starting in July 2024, the 28-hour course is designed to help the participants earn 28 CPD points through a practical approach to mastering mergers and acquisitions. The participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of group and consolidated and differences between local legislation and IRFS 10. The participants will learn to calculate direct and indirect holdings, understand control concepts and structured entities and grasp financial reporting for joint ventures and associates. The course covers subsidiary handling, non-controlling interest, and transition scenarios, and delves into business combinations, purchase price allocation and translation from other GAAP to IFRS. Additionally, the participants will gain expertise in complex inter-company transactions, preparing consolidation workings for foreign subsidiaries, consolidated cash flow statements and goodwill impairment assessments. The course emphasizes the importance of disclosure notes, covering segmental information, tax notes, PPE notes, non-controlling interest and acquisition/disposal of subsidiaries.
